Chapter 7: RPO

I’d like to remind you about the few models there are for using Recruitment Process Outsourcing firms. Remember to be diligent about your assessment of your needs and what the RPO can help you with before making a final decision!

  1. All In Model. This is the end-to-end option where the RPO is literally doing all Talent Acquisition functions, and meeting with Hiring Managers as an internal Recruiter would. To the outside world, the RPO is part of your company because this is how they represent themselves in this model.

  1. Partial Model. This is a specialized model that gives an RPO one or two pieces of your business.  These combinations can be arranged as their own packages, and the timelines of the contract are more flexible, allowing you to turn these services on and off quickly and as needed. This can be a very strategic way to manage your resources and get the best return on your investment.

  1. Contingent Model. This option is often referred to as staff augmentation, or flux business. It’s intended for short projects, and look like compressed versions of The All In or Partial.

Regardless of your needs, be sure that you aren’t oursourcing your ‘mojo’ – the greatest value that you bring to the organization!
